The last lion of the year for me and my hounds for the 2000 season. This cat gave us and the dogs a run for our money crossing several streams and 1 river before settling down.
He was finally treed

This was my Tom I took during the 2005-2006 season. My hunting buddy AJ Stone came up from Lolo and helped me harvest this cougar. Hounds used were Nt.Ch. Groom Creek Spanky, Groom Creek Jazz, and Stone's Curveball.
This is my wife Tammy and her cougar she harvested during the 2006-2007 permit season. Tammy looked at 7 other cougars prior to harvesting this dandy. He weighed out at 145#. My hunting partner Jim Barone was with us on this great day. Hounds used were Nt.Ch. Groom Creek Spanky, Groom Creek Jazz, Tally Mtn. Jake and Tally Mtn. Titan.
This fine young Tom was treed and released during the 2007 season. Hounds used were Groom Creek Clyde, Spooky Ridge Scout and Tally Mtn Titan.
This excellent tom was treed and released by Groom Creek Clyde, Groom Creek Jazz and Tally Mtn. Shasta. This was the day Clyde proved to me he was a Big Dawg. He worked this Tom through some nasty rock cliffs and grabbed the wood well before the veterans arrived.
Here is what I call my next Generation or the Dynamic Duo. Groom Creek Jazz and Groom Creek Clyde are responsible for the enjoyment I get in the woods today.

This Tom was treed the end of the 2005-2006 season by Nt.Ch. Groom Creek Spanky, Groom Creek Jazz, Groom Creek Bo, and Groom Creek Norm.
This tom was treed by my hunting partner Jim Barone and myself. We used Groom Creek Jazz, Groom Creek Bailey, Tally Mtn. Jake and Tally Mtn. Titan. Bailey came from Jim's kennel and is a daughter to Jake and sister to Titan.
This female was treed during the 2005-2006 season by Groom Creek Jazz. This was the first cougar Groom Creek Jazz has tree alone.
This tom was one of the several treed during the 2005 season by Groom Creek Clydes in his first season.
Tammy passed on this tom in search for bigger. The hounds used this day were Groom Creek Spanky, Bailey and Tally Mountain Jake and Titan.

This dandy of a tom was treed and released right at the end of the season by Groom Creek Bailey, Groom Creek Sis, Tally Mtn. Titan and Ghost. This topped off one of the best seasons my partner Jim and I have had in a few years.
My good friend Scott took this Tom with the aid of Groom Creek Bailey, Groom Creek Sis, Tally Mtn. Titan and Lobo. This tom dressed out at #140 pounds and Scott took it with one well placed arrow.
