Hound Dawg'n for Bobcats....

Welcome to my Bobcat page. Below you will see just a few memoriable photos from my album of various bobcat hunts. Though bobcats are not my primary interest they are a great challenge for both hunter and hound and a magnificent animal to photograph. I hope you enjoy the page.

My #1 hunting buddie, my son, in 1986 with his first ever Maine bobcat.

Gr.Ch. Groom Creek Breeze and Nt.Ch. Groom Creek
Bandit with their first bobcat.

Another trophy bobcat treed during 1998 season, Weight 32.5# Groom Creek hound used was Nt.Ch. Groom Creek Spanky.

This tom was treed by Groom Creek Jazz and Tally Mtn. Lobo during the winter of 2007. He took us on a nice little run up through a cedar drainage and over some nasty deadfall before grabbing a perch about 60 feet up.

My good friend and partner John Dykstra with his two fine hounds, Blue and Bandit, with there daily catch.

35# bobcat treed by Nt.Ch. Groom Creek Spanky during the 1998 hunting season.

37# bobcat taken during the 1997 hunting season with the aid of Gr.Ch. Groom Creek Sonny.

When we arrived there were two bobcats in the same tree deep in a cedar canyon during the winter of 2006. Hounds used were Nt.Ch. Sciaretta's Groom Creek Spanky, Tally Mtn. Ghost and Tally Mtn. Lobo.

Jim and I treed and released this little bugger using Groom Creek Jazz and Tally Mtn. Ghost. Had some fun this day because the bobcat track intercepted a cougar track also.
